Der Gipfelbereich bildet den gr\u00f6\u00dften freiliegenden Basanit-Felsen des Vogelsberges und ist einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Felsen vulkanischen Ursprungs in Deutschland. Vom h\u00f6chsten Punkt ist bei klarer Wetterlage eine Sichtweite von bis zu 100 km m\u00f6glich. Dabei ist die Skyline von Frankfurt am Main deutlich zu sehen.\n\nDer Anstieg auf den Berg ist aus allen Richtungen sehr steil. F\u00fcr unge\u00fcbte Wanderer bietet sich der Weg gegen\u00fcber des Parkplatzes an der Waldsiedlung an. Am steilsten ist der Anstieg von Busenborn aus.
